Autism Evaluation for Older Adults
Older adults may pursue autism assessment to understand lifelong patterns, relationships, sensory experiences, and support needs.

There is no upper age limit for seeking greater clarity about possible autism. Older adults may recognize familiar traits after a child or grandchild is diagnosed, or after learning how autism can present outside common stereotypes.
Evaluation can still be meaningful when childhood records are limited. Clinicians combine available developmental information with current experiences, longstanding patterns, and collateral information when appropriate.
